Harms of Fracking

 Clear-cutting  to accommodate frack pads and fracking infrastructure  has destroyed  trees and increased turbidity in our lakes and streams  in the region.  

Flaring releases toxic particulate matter. Some wells have been  flared for weeks, releasing contaminants and deliberately wasting  methane.

 Fracking destroys water and turns it into a toxic, radioactive waste  hazard, falsely labeled as "non-hazardous" so it can be disposed of in  Class 2 injection wells without proper monitoring and protections for  ground and surface water leaks.threatening the safety of remaining water  resources.
